I was a storyteller before I learned to read and write. Once I discovered that stories were told by real human beings like me and not by magical creatures named Mother Goose or Paul Bunyan, I knew my life's calling.
Communications work speaks to storytellers like me. In the same way, the most inspiring, innovative, and successful communications campaigns have storytelling at their hearts. We have learned from brain science research that stories are among the most effective tools for helping our audiences remember us and what we offer. Stories create emotional connections and inspire people to support our work. As a writer and communicator, I can't imagine a better way to spend my career.
