I have collaborated with Wilkinson Visual on nine videos. The two videos above won an Emmy Award in the Environment/Science - Short Form category. They elevate authentic Kentucky voices to raise awareness about the challenges our farmers and small business owners face due to climate change. Our primary audience for these videos was our elected officials, but we have also found warm reception with other audiences, including corporate, government, and nonprofit partners.
The video above features our Cumberland Forest Project, an innovative 253,000-acre conservation project that brings together carbon markets, impact investors, and a fund to benefit local communities. I served as the full producer on this video.
From Mine Lands to Forests tells the story of post-coal mine land reforestation in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. These mountains are incredibly important for climate resiliency, wildlife habitat and migration, and communities. Reforestation breathes new life into these lands, renewing their potential for people and nature. I served as the field producer on this video.
